Happy Lunar New Year!
This week we will continue our unit on "Our Neighborhood" and also include lessons and projects for the Chinese New Year, celebrated on February 3rd. We will be making paper lanterns, dragon shadow puppets, rabbit masks (in celebration of the Year of the Rabbit!), and create our own ink drawings using traditional Chinese ink. We will have a parade on Wednesday and Thursday showcasing our works of art. Please join us at 11:45 if you would like. Gung Hay Fat Choy!

As a reminder, Valentine's Day is Monday, February 14th. We would like to make cards and mail them to "someone special". Please leave us the address of (1 - 3) family members or friends. (There will be an address list next to the sign-in sheet.) We will be walking to the Post Office on Wednesday & Thursday to mail our handmade cards! Made 100% with love.
